Undergraduate Student Presents at NABEC 2023 Conference

Miss Marie-Anne Dessureault made a poster presentation at the Northeast Agricultural / Biological Engineering Conference at the University of Guelph between July 31 and August 2, 2023.

Miss Dessureault presented on a Dashboard for Improving a Sustainable Healthy Diet, which she had worked on during her summer internship. In her presentation, Miss Dessureault shared current trends in consumer need and demand for the food products they purchase or consume be produced in an environmentally sustainable manner.

Mr. Aubin shares his preliminary findings on the current status of social life cycle assessment in the Poultry Industry

In July of 2023, Aubin flew across the country, over the wooded lakeshores of Ontario and the boundless prairies of Manitoba and Saskatchewan to the foothills of Lethbridge, Alberta to present his research at the 2023 Canadian Society for Bioengineering conference hosted by Lethbridge College.

In front of a group of fellow bioengineering researchers and professionals, he discussed his research about a new methodology for measuring the social impacts of transitioning towards a circular bioeconomy.

Mr. Raphael Aidoo at the CSBE 2023 session in Alberta Lethbridge

After a year long investment of time and efforts, Raphael was finally ready to showcase his finding findings on the prospects of Circular Bioeconomy in the Canadian Pulse Industry.

On the 27th July, 2023, his abstract was accepted for an oral presentation at the Canadian Society for Bioengineering conference (2023), held at Lethbridge, Alberta.
