Our core research is focused on three nodes within the food value chain: PRODUCTION, PROCESSING & CONSUMPTION .
At the PRODUCTION level, we focus on conducting sustainability assessments (Environmental, Social and Economic) of different farm level production systems.
At the PROCESSING level, we focus on employing process-intelligent tools to model, assess and optimize agri-food/feed and bi/co-product systems.
At the CONSUMPTION level, we focus on developing decision tools to support consumer food choices.
In achieving this, we leverage digital innovations, machine learning, computational modeling, and human health impact modeling to
drive sustainable and resilient food systems.
We employ Environmental and Nutrition Health Performance Modeling to support consumers in making sustainable healthy food choices.
We apply Sustainability, Circularity and Upcycling methods to derive new and value-added products from industrial agro-waste.
Here, we conduct Nutrient Tracking and Mapping to support Nutrition Sensitive Agricultural Programming with the goal of delivering sustainable healthy diets in developing countries.
Here, we apply Industry Life Cycle and Eco-efficiency Sustainability Assessments to drive agri-food/feed industries toward net-zero tagets.
